OM SEMIR
Nina representing Spain in in the national team in this year’s AWC in Sweeden and EO in Portugal
Nina comes from Slovenia where her agility journey began with the poodle Ben and my pyrshep Winnie.
Since then, I've trained a
variety of breeds.
For her, dog training and agility competitions are her zen zone, escape from reality and happy place.
In 2014, she moved to sunny Spain, where she´s now compete with her fab four: a mudi named Fanta, the young working cocker Looney, Suri also working cocker and pyrshep Hunny.
Training this variety of challenging breeds has been an adventure, which taught her invaluable skills, training and handling-wise.
Challenges? I´m never afraid of a challenge. Love learning, listening, observing and teaching is a passion.
Love the most? When someone says I've sparked their love for training.
Training should be fun for both the human and the dog. Even if she compete at the highest agility level, she keep it light-hearted and always let the dog steal the spotlight.
Golden rules go like this:
Keep your eyes on you and your dog!
Comparisons are mood and motivation
killers.
No shortcuts.
Enjoy the ride.
Have faith and be patient.
Be kind. To your furry friend and the people around.
If things go wrong, analyse, make a plan, turn the page, and let the
past be the past.
Keep your ears open for tips, but listen to your dog first.
Teach as many skills as possible. No course should catch you off guard
or bring you down.
And most importantly, be OK with yourself! In your dog’s eyes nobody is cooler and smarter!
